Zumba with Ruth

That moment when the song you have used as your stretching routine to finish your Zumba class for the past 3 years is played live on stage right in front of your eyes by the band itself =D =D =D

I LOVE Alt-J and last night I saw them live in Portland. With 3 huge albums it was super lucky that they played this older song last night. Still a much-loved classic as you can from the audience reactions! As soon as I heard the intro I grabbed my phone and video'd the whole song for you!! Listen to it, watch it, stretch to it, and love it.

My poor little phone was a bit too close to the speakers for it's liking so perhaps turn the volume down a wee bit when listening to the video.. Also sorry about the shaking. Of course I was dancing and jigging while filming! Not exactly the steadiest video in the world...

Well I have now officially made the move to Portland. One sleep down and an immediate positive about this place is the weather... not to brag but... =p

It's been a whopping 4 weeks since we had our last Zumba class and I can imagine some of you are missing the beats, the smiles, the shimmies, the shakes, the sweat, the laughs, the sing-a-longs.. (man I'm sad now!!), perhaps even the dogs?? =p

Inna Bugg (who also teaches Zumba) has been in touch with me and I think she may have the solution for some of you... A local Monday night 7-8pm class in Liberton Kirk Halls!

This time next week we will be warming up for our LAST Zumba class in Edinburgh =( Very sad news but SUPER excited to have this opportunity to dance with you all one last time!! =D

Bringing back some old favorites like Ministry of Road and Proud Mary! Although with a current playlist of 17 songs, it's going to take some effort to cut it down to the usual 11/12 we have in class!!

One more week to get your routine suggestions to me, I need your help! Looking forward to seeing you all there, old folks, new folks, and folks who just fancy a one off class! =) It's time to get exciteddd!!

Hello everyone,

While I am not coming back to Edinburgh for another 2 weeks, I am pleased to announce that I am able to squeeze in ONE FINAL ZUMBA CLASS before I leave Edinburgh for good!!

14th Aug. Grab your diaries and a big fat red pen and take note!

Class will be just like normal:

BUT the routines will be different. For my final class in Edinburgh and to celebrate the 3 years of wonderful teaching I have had here I am going to be bringing back some old classics and class favorites for a final hurrah!

If you have any favorite routines that you can remember from way back when, or even have a few personal loves from class recently then DO LET ME KNOW and I will include them in our final class =)

Looking forward to seeing you all again for a final farewell class.

Hello everyone,
I'm afraid that due to some personal circumstances there will be no class this coming Monday and as the situation stands at the moment I'm not sure when I will be returning to Edinburgh or when classes will resume. There has been a sudden and completely unexpected death in my close family and thus I am down in Devon for the time being.
Sorry for this sudden change of events, especially after the news this week that my last ever class in Edinburgh is scheduled for 14th August. Sorry to keep you all in limbo for now, but I promise that as soon as I have figured things out myself, I will let you know when I am able to resume classes.
Keep safe, keep happy and keep active until I return.

Yipeeee!!! I'm baacck and I'm jumping for joy!

I shall return to teaching classes this coming Monday (3rd July, which also happens to be my brothers birthday) and am SO looking forward to seeing you all there!

I hear you had a smashing time with Ross, the cover teacher, and that there was even some whooping involved.. My oh my =p
