A day in the life of an English teacher β¨
From teaching Czech teenagers in the morning, to helping a new Polish student, preparing a French student for her C1 Cambridge English exam, and finishing the day online with a Brazilian student in Glasgow.
Different students. Different goals. Different backgrounds.
Thatβs what I love about teaching English: no two lessons are ever the same.
Whether you need conversation practice, exam preparation, confidence with speaking, or a class that fits around your schedule, I can help you build a lesson plan that works for you.

Past Simple or Past Perfect? π€ If this one still trips you up, you are not alone.
Many English learners mix these two up at work or school, and it is the kind of small slip that makes a confident sentence sound a little off. π
The trick is simple: Past Simple is one action in the past. Past Perfect is the action that happened first, before another past action. β³
Swipe through for the timelines and a quick test to check yourself. Get the last one right and you have basically got it πͺ
Which tense do you reach for more often? Tell me in the comments π and if you want to sharpen this kind of detail for your job, send me a DM and book a free consultation. π©

If you live in Edinburgh, you talk about the rain every single day. π§οΈ
But the same wet morning can sound completely different depending on your level. "I got wet" and "it was pouring down" describe the same sky, just years apart in your English.
Swipe through and find the level you're speaking at right now, from a light A1 "got wet" all the way to a native C1 idiom.
Comment your level below π and I'll reply with the next one up. Want to actually move up a level? DM me and let's get your English there.

Damian didn't start learning English for himself. He started for his daughter. π§‘
She was 5, struggling with reading and writing β and he wanted to understand her world.
A few months in, she stopped her classes. But something had already shifted in him.
So he kept going.
From absolute beginner to Upper-Intermediate β through work, life, breaks, and comebacks.
And he did it all while running his family's cleaning business full time.
No excuses. Just progress.
Your story could start exactly where his did. π
DM me to begin.

Andrzej is a Polish student living in Yorkshire, and I have had the pleasure of teaching him English since August 2024. At the beginning he was a little shy and unsure of this language, particularly with speaking, but is has been wonderful to see him developing into a confident English user who may well do high level exams in the future. I wish him all the best and hope our paths will cross again.
I currently have availability for new students, all levels, 1-1 or small groups. Please let me know if you would like more details :)
