Vet Schools National Virtual Vet Taster Event 2022 aims to widen participation 03/05/2022

We are delighted to announce this year's National Virtual Vet Taster Event aimed at prospective vet students from underrepresented background across the UK.

The event brings seven of the UK's vet schools together in one place as well as speakers from the British Veterinary Ethnicity and Diversity Society - BVEDS and IVC Evidensia, a leading veterinary employer.

Are you interested in studying Veterinary Medicine in future but aren't sure how to go about it?

We understand that not all students have equal opportunities when it comes to accessing higher education.

Supporting students from underrepresented backgrounds is called Widening Participation (WP).

We are delighted to offer a fully funded week-long residential Summer School to eligible students interested in exploring the field of Veterinary Medicine. The Veterinary Medicine Diversity Summer School is aimed at those who meet one or more (WP) criteria and identify as belonging to an ethnic and/or religious minority group.

This fantastic accomplishment was reflected in the high scores in teaching satisfaction and course satisfaction, with the School leading the way in both.
