Waterfront Nursery Waterfront Nursery opened in a new purpose built facility in Granton, Edinburgh in 2006. Learning is at the heart of what we do at Waterfront Nursery.

Our modern facility caters for a wide age range of children ranging from 3 months to 5 years. The nursery comprises of; our warm, welcoming baby room for 0-2 year olds, busy toddler room for 2-3 years and Pre-school rooms, as well as a safe outdoor play area and additional activity areas. Opening from 8am to 6pm for 50 weeks of the year, we provide maximum accessibility and flexibility for parents. Our highly-trained staff have a wealth of experience in child care - several of our staff have over 10 years experience in working with children. Regular team meetings and in-house training encourage staff to feel proud of the important role they play in your child’s development. We use a variety of theories to shape our pedagogy and national guidance to reflect on our practice. Our planning is led by our children using the national frameworks "Pre-birth to three’ and the Scottish Executive’s ‘Curriculum for Excellence’. We can also provide places for children with additional support needs. We are a partner provider nursery offering government funded places for preschoolers and eligible 2 year olds.
