It's that time of year again! The children have been busy making calendars for 2025. Here are just a few...they're looking great! 🤩

Some more lovely vector art! This was created by Deniz who I think was pretty pleased with his artwork and quite rightly so! We printed it as a greetings card too - I wonder who the lucky recipient will be?

Some of the children have been creating vector art using Microsoft Publisher. They found examples of vector art online (on the right) and are trying to reproduce the images using shape tools. I'm amazed by the results! They're still working on them but already they look fantastic!

The children attending the computer art course this week designed these fantastic bags! They created their designs using Microsoft Publisher, printed them onto fabric transfer paper and then they were ironed onto the bags. Great results!

Eddie used Python code to make a magic lift in Minecraft. Stepping on the glowstone block makes the player rise up 20 blocks high. Stepping on a gold block makes the lift go back down again.

Ayomide attended the Raspberry Pi coding course this week and at the end she presented me with this fantastic card. How lovely! Thank you so much, Ayomide!

It's nearly the end of this week's holiday courses and it's been lovely to teach such enthusiastic children! Abigail designed this amazing box and bag! She printed her box design onto a full page label to stick over a card box and used inkjet fabric transfer paper to transfer her design onto the cotton bag.

Some of the older children have been learning to solder. Here's Christo on his first ever attempt. He soldered 4 resistors and an LED onto a circuit board and did it brilliantly!

Whizzkids starts back today after a short summer break. I look forward to welcoming pupils back this term. We are also celebrating 25 years of Whizzkids this month! It's been a pleasure to teach so many pupils over the years and I look forward to many more wonderful years ahead!
