One week to go until our Summer Concert and this year we are SO pleased to have Music Director of Opera North, Garry Walker, conduct the second half of our programme which includes the Bruch Violin Concerto in G minor.

After a fantastic evening of music at Tuesday's Directors' Recital Prize, it was the turn of our younger finalists to shine in yesterday's Junior and Intermediate Recital Prize.

Eight talented pupils took to the stage in the Chapel, delivering impressive performances across both categories. Following much deliberation, our guest adjudicator, violist Jessica Beeston, awarded the Intermediate Recital Prize to accordionist Sylvester (S3) and the Junior Recital Prize to harpist Amber (P7).

Well done to all of our finalists and congratulations to our winners! 🏆

Featuring operatic scenes and works by composers such as Britten, Handel, Mozart, Jonathan Dove and Offenbach, this staged performance weaves together stories of love, conflict and resilience during Britain's darkest hours.
