A lovely sunny afternoon spent in Gracemount Community Garden. Thanks to all that came by for a tasting of nettles. We had some nettle oatmeal potato soup, lactofermented nettle and wild garlic, nettle cake (dusted with pine pollen and lemon nettle butter icing), washed down with some nettle and birch cordial and an nettle and lemon verbena infusion.

Finally got round to separating our young pine cones from the pine syrup. They went down very well at the Gracemount community garden Burns celebrations. People seemed to love the sweet piney flavours.

It's pruning time again. Such a nice way to start the gardening year especially with the winter sun on your back.
