𝗖𝗮𝗻 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗻𝗮𝗺𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘀𝗲 𝟰 𝗦𝗮𝗹𝘀𝗮 𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀? 👀

These are four foundational pieces of Salsa footwork. They are foundational, but that does not make them easy. The more comfortable you become with them, the more control and freedom you have when you dance.

At Latin Roots, we don’t rush past the basics. We keep returning to them, improving how they feel and finding new ways to use them.

𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗗𝗘𝗠𝗢 𝗜𝗦 𝗢𝗡𝗟𝗬 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗙𝗜𝗡𝗔𝗟 𝗣𝗔𝗥𝗧 💜

This one came from our Stage 4 Bachata class.

The demo is the part you see at the end. Underneath it is all the work we do week after week: timing, connection, body movement, musicality and strong foundations.

That’s what we’re building across Latin Roots. Not just more combinations, but dancers who understand what they’re doing and can make the dancing their own.

It is built from basic elements that many dancers will already recognise. Nothing needs to be particularly complicated. Sometimes the fun is simply finding new ways to combine the things you already know and making them feel good with a partner.

That is something we enjoy exploring at Latin Roots. Learning more does not always mean adding more steps.
