Hello everyone, I'd like to draw your attention to the new venture by NYSO of a new string course for 7-9 year olds which will start next Easter. As the member of the NYSO team specialising in Dalcroze, I'm delighted to be Course Director for Sinfonietta. We had a wonderful taster session last week, and already have lots of applications, but please do consider this for your pupils.

Next year the courses will last 48 hours or so, residential at Stamford School with a non-residential option.
NYSO's focus on musicianship through string playing means that Sinfonietta is able to provide lots of musical learning away from instruments, which can then be applied in a string orchestra setting.

Camerata, Sinfonia and Sinfonietta Orchestra Residencies - National Youth String Orchestra The aim of the NYSO Camerata and Sinfonia Residencies is to help students at a critical stage of their musical development to ‘Make Connections’ between all the different musical experiences coming at them.

In an exciting new venture, NYSO (National Youth String Orchestra) is launching Sinfonietta, a residential course for 7-10 year olds, next Easter.
