Join us in our first screening of Pa'lante - Moving Forward, a short film created by a group of refugees in Glasgow, last May. Along with the film screening we will discuss with members of local refugee organisations about the condition of the refugee communities during the pandemic and the response of local action groups.

Today we're celebrating the closure of our first Glasgow-based project BYOL - Bring Your Own Language, with refugees and asylum seekers. Together we developed the short film 'Pa'lante - Moving Forward'. Pa'lante was based on a series of biographical writings of the group, documenting their experience of travelling from their homelands to Glasgow.

We've been quiet for a while, and that's because we've been up to something special! Our group has been working on autobiographical writings about the journey from Homeland to Glasgow. Now they are ready to share their stories in a spoken word and music performance, titled 'Pa'lante - Moving Forward'. Don't miss them this Saturday at 13:30, at Glasgow Language Festival at St.Mungo museum.

Aspects of sound and architecture π§ποΈ Our first Soundwalk with our group and the sound artist/researcher Katerina Taliani was a first class opportunity to explore some of the most iconic buildings in Govan. From the impressive Lyceum Cinema on 908 Govan Road (also known as Bingo County Social Club), to the Elder Park Library, to the Govan Old Parish Church.
