Next month, the new pay offer for junior doctors from Scottish Government will be put to a consultative vote of our junior doctor members.

If you are a final year medical student, who will be starting a post in NHS Scotland this August, you are eligible to vote as long as your details are up to date - we need details of your new employer and worksite by 1700 on 8 August.

It's vital that membership records are up to date ASAP. Take a moment to update your membership record on our website (https://www.bma.org.uk/join/membership-faqs) or by emailing [email protected].

Have you secured your place at this year's Scottish Conference? It's being co-chaired by SMSC chair Lewis O'Connor.

"This conference is a great opportunity to meet and network with colleagues that we may have only seen through our computer screens. While it offers a chance for medical students and new doctors to hear from leaders of the profession about the future of medicine in Scotland, it’s also a chance for you to add some fresh views and to learn how you can get involved in YOUR union and shape BMA Scotland priorities for the future around the issues that are important to you. That’s why I’ve ensured that we as the BMA are offering more talks aimed at medical students and junior doctors."
