Some of you will remember Key to Music student Nat Wilson His new band the Burnside Burners have a gig not to be missed this Sunday 2nd of July at the Hive in Edinburgh. Very inspiring for all of us to see our alumni musicians turn professionals doing their thing. Particularly fans of blues music (hopefully all of you!) get yourselves along to this. ⭐️🎸

I enjoyed presenting a session on songwriting over in the US of A!

I had a great time presenting on songwriting at Hessfest in the States and seeing the other intriguing presentations on various aspects of guitar playing, composition and technique. We start with the Ear-Training tomorrow. The approaches to ear training I encountered at college were quite traditional and have been superseded in the intervening years, so I'm looking forward to getting more up to date methods and seeing improvement in my own ability to play what I hear in my head.

Edinburgh artist Kirsten Adamson has a fundraiser single out for the Ukraine, Peace in our time. It’s her interpretation of a song written by Stuart Adamson (her father) of the band Big Country. It’s wonderful and it’s fantastic to see an Edinburgh artist get visibility. It’s at 14 in the iTunes chart! Support a deserving local artist and a deserving cause.

Ok we have done it! #1 in the Singer/Songwriter chart. Thank you so much ❤️ ❤️ this is wonderful news!! Let’s see if we can get further up the main chart!
