Degree Scholarships for students from refugee backgrounds
3 degree scholarships at Sheffield Hallam University for degree study from September 2024. The scholarships are only for students in the UK who:
Have made an asylum application in the UK
Are living in the UK, with an immigration status connected to their asylum claim
Are not eligible for funding from Student Funding England, Scotland, Wales or Northern Ireland at the start of the course
Hold an academic offer for an eligible course starting in September, or are awaiting a course decision.

The Centre for Open Learning at The University of Edinburgh is offering displaced persons the opportunity to take General English courses for free. These free places are available only for displaced people in Scotland, i.e. people from an area of instability or a zone of conflict who have refugee status, or indefinite leave to remain, are asylum seekers, or under humanitarian protection. This includes people from Ukraine, Syria, Afghanistan and Hong Kong.
