This one really made me cry. This boy did not get an A at Higher, started the Adv Higher course late because his school refused to run the course, had no teacher or minimal supervision throughout the year and then was incredibly ill just before his exam. Despite all of his trials he got an A at Advanced Higher and was accepted into Cambridge University.
