Last week, local artist Hans Clausen came to visit our Class 11 Higher English Class.

Hans is the creator of The Winston Smith Library of Victory and Truth : www.hanskclausen.com/the-winston-smith-library-of-victory-and-truth/

The artist brought with him copies of 1984 by George Orwell for each pupil. They will each have the opportunity to contribute to the library and have their own copy of the novel exhibited at it's latest location, Glasgow University.

Pupils were asked to co-create by reading the novel, then annotating the text with their own words and images.

We look forward to seeing the finished results.

Every year, Edinburgh Steiner School take part in the Hands Up Scotland Survey to find out how our school community commutes!

The Hands up Scotland Survey is the largest national dataset on how school pupils and nursery children travel to school in Scotland.

An additional subject specialism would be an advantage.

Last year's Class 5 sunflowers are looking magnificent in the vegetable garden as teachers are busy this week readying for the new school year.

Huge congratulations to our Upper School pupils on their SQA exam results!

Here are a few highlights from this year's results:

🌟 Highers: 65% of all results were awarded top 'A' grades, with 78% achieving A or B.

📚 National 5s: A 90% pass rate (A-C), with 80% of results at grades A or B—including a 100% pass rate in English!

🎨 Advanced Highers: A 100% pass rate (A-C), with 81% at grades A or B.

🎓 Future Destinations: Almost all pupils applying to university have been accepted into their first-choice institution!

These fantastic outcomes reflect the incredible hard work, resilience, and dedication of our students and teachers. Well done!
