Forest Kindergarten

Jigsaw Nurseries are the only nursery at present who have been given approval by the National Trust for Scotland to use the facilities of Malleny Gardens for Forest Kindergarten. The Outreach Team are fully supportive of our Forest Kindergarten and are taking us on board as a case study. Thanks to Craig’s efforts, we are very fortunate to have access to their expertise and advice.

Jigsaw Nurseries are proud to have become a member of the National Trust for Scotland which will offer opportunities to our children for further experiences.

TEAM JIGSAW CONTINUES TO BE GRADED 5s BY THE CARE INSPECTORATE

Jigsaw Nurseries – the Local Nursery in Balerno for over 20 Years - is delighted to announce that the latest Care Inspection continues to Grade us 5s . Following the inspection at the end of June the latest report has been published and is available for you to read at:

One of our parents stated:
“The manager and all staff are very approachable. My child is well cared for and is happy in the nursery. We are lucky to have such a good nursery in our village."

Here’s an extract from the Care Inspector:

“The manager worked closely with the proprietors of the nursery. We found the manager and proprietors placed all children at the heart of everything they do.”

“A key strength of the nursery was the transition of babies moving into the nursery or to another room within the service.“

Our staff were congratulated at the time and we are so fortunate to have staff who work very hard to strive to maintain such high standards. Well Done to All and thank you to our parents for their continued support.
