I am a young double bass from Scotland, and the central character in a series of fully illustrated short stories with music for all children up to age 12 called, "Around the World with Bessy". It explores my adventures when I leave my coastal home village of Lower Largo in Scotland to embark on a trip that visits several countries in Europe, where I am hosted by other musical friends and family. I encounter several modes of transport including that of a magical car, named Henri. Along the way, I make new friends, learn something of the different cultures of each destination and discover new music in a variety of styles which you can listen to on the accompanying CD/Download. Part One and a Half - Bessy Goes Busking, is the second in the series and is an "in-between" story that tells of the adventures Bessy has when she tries busking for the first time, at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. She is desperately trying to make enough money to go on her next trip to see her great friend Suzie Saxophone in New York, however busking is harder than she thought! That is, until she makes friends with two unusual characters, Spud'n'Spencer Spoon! Raid the kitchen and join in with the accompanying music download and discover if she reaches her goal! Part Two - New York, is the third in the series. Join Bessy and Suzie Saxophone as they explore the wonders of the Big Apple. Visit the famous sights, make some new friends and join in with the music on the accompanying download.
