Our doors are open!
We're back for Doors Open Day 2026, on Sunday 27th September. After a fantastic day last year, we're doing it all again.
Come and visit Leith School of Art's North Junction Street Campus - once a Norwegian Seamen's Church (the first in the UK), now a thriving independent art school. From year-long courses to short courses and workshops, our programmes support people at every stage of their creative journey. We believe everyone has creative potential, and we're committed to providing an inspiring, inclusive environment where it can flourish.

Ben Davies-Jenkins | Not Dark Yet
Please note: This exhibition contains images and themes related to cancer diagnosis and medical journeys that some viewers may find upsetting.
Not Dark Yet is a collection of works centred around paintings and drawings made in response to the artist's journey through the early stages of brain cancer. Comprising of deeply personal portraits and landscapes, the show is a testament to the importance of making art as a means of processing and persevering, even in the most trying circumstances.
Free Drop-in Activities
Try your hand at table-top printmaking or drawing at the easel with our brilliant tutors. No booking is required—just come along, get creative and enjoy making art together.
Access Information
There is step-free access to the ground floor of the building only. The upstairs studio can only be accessed by stairs. There are two toilets on ground level and two upstairs. A wheelchair accessible toilet is on the ground floor.
