P2 started the year reading a fantastic story by Peter Reynolds called "The Dot". This teaches us all about the importance of "having a go" and making that first step even when we think we can't do something. We applied our learning by creating hundreds of colourful dots to decorate our classrooms, inspired by the work of different artists. In celebration of the work of the late artist Yayoi Kusama, who was famous for her dotty pictures, we also took part in a collaborative "Obliteration Table", inspired by the artist's Obliteration Rooms. We worked together to fill the blank space with beautiful dots in all shapes and sizes.
