We would like to extend our deepest condolences to the Royal Family, on the death of her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II.

The Society was graciously granted a Royal Charter by Queen Elizabeth in 1967, on the occasion of our centenary. We have been grateful to the Queen for her 70 years of selfless public service, her role as a steadfast figurehead and as a source of stability throughout a period of great change. She was much loved and will be fondly remembered throughout Scotland, the UK and the Commonwealth.

Our thoughts are with the Royal Family during this sad time.

We would like to thank our Members for attending an interesting series of lectures this year, both online and in person.

We also look forward to seeing all of our Members again in November.
