We're so happy to have been able to host Professor Hannah Holtschneider's Inaugural Lecture, 'Eavesdropping on other people’s conversations: German Jewish refugee family correspondence in Holocaust historiography', earlier this month ✨

Hosted by the Head of School, Professor Jeremy Carrette, we heard an insightful lecture from Professor Holtschneider looking at lives of individual refugees through their personal correspondence to cast a better light on the ways in which they interpreted and experienced the historical circumstances that disrupted their lives and brought about their displacement or their murder.

It truly was such a special evening and we were so happy to spend it with all of you in-person at the Playfair Library and also online 🤩 Don't worry if you couldn't make it though as you can now watch the whole lecture on our YouTube channel 🎥
