Claire Thomas lectures on the BA Musical Theatre degree at RCS & MA Vocal Pedagogy at VSC

Individual and group training in all aspects of singing and vocal development. A wide variety of vocal singing styles and genres offered, with exam/audition work and performance opportunities throughout the year. Collaborative opportunities, masterclasses and a holistic approach to performing/recording for singers, actors and anyone wishing to explore their voice. Individual lesson times:
Monday - 6.30-8.30pm
Tuesday - 4-8pm
Wednesday - 7-9pm
Thursday - 7-9pm
Friday - 4-8pm
Saturday - 10am-4pm
Sunday - By prior arrangement only, space permitting

This year Claire continues to study after completing her Masters degree in Teaching in the Performing Arts at The Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. She has undertaken her doctorate in Elite Performance with a focus on singing voice rehabilitation. She looks forward to bringing new ideas and her enthusiasm for learning to all her students. Claire also lectures in singing on the BA and MA Musical Theatre degree courses at RCS, while providing individual lessons for students on the MT degree course at MGA. She is also a singing teacher for Loretto boarding school, based in Musselburgh. Claire’s book on the muscles of singing voice production will be published this year.

📣 Calling all budding von Trapp family children! 📣

We are thrilled to announce that we are opening auditions for the roles of the von Trapp family children for our upcoming 2025 Winter revival of The Sound of Music 🏔️

🗓️ 5 May
📍 Pitlochry Festival Theatre

We are looking for children and young people aged between 6 and 16 years old to audition for the iconic roles of the von Trapp children - Friedrich, Louisa, Kurt, Brigitta, Marta and Gretl. No acting experience is required but a love of singing is a must.

All attendees will be asked to sing and dance in a group and read from a script - no preparation is required!

We will be casting teams of six young people to appear as the von Trapp family in The Sound of Music from 14 November - 21 December 2025.
