Here are probably more similarities than differences.
They both require the development of core skills in fluency, reading, writing and listening, the application of linguistic principles and, of course, plenty of hard work.
It is important to have a good basis of General English to be able to communicate effectively.
However, Business English courses focus on particular vocabulary, topics and skills that are applicable to the workplace and enable you to communicate accurately.

If it is a dry day and you fancy a longer walk with a 360 degree panoramic view, you could head over to Arthur's Seat.
This is an inactive volcano in the middle of Holyrood Park, it takes about 45 minutes to walk to the top from near the Scottish Parliament. Please wear suitable shoes for climbing this hill and be careful as it can be very slippery, espcially if it has rained recently.

Stirling Castle has played an important part in Scottish history for hundreds of years.
The castle has been restored and refurbished and it is a popular visit with our students.
It takes approximately one hour to get to Stirling by minibus from Edinburgh. Students can either explore the castle on their own, with other students from the school or join a free guided tour taken by the castle guides.
There is so much to see at Stirling Castle, it has such splendour, amazing colour, and wondrous craftsmanship. Stirling Castle was once the home of Scotland's Renaissance Kings and Queens.

If you have studied English in the past you should have some idea of your level.
On the application form we ask you to approximately grade yourself.
You can tell us the level of the last English course you studied or exam you took, even if it was a few years ago.
You will be sent a needs analysis form before arrival and have a Skype or Zoom call with one of our teachers before your arrival.
To help you get an idea of your approximate level of English, you can take a quick online level test with Cambridge English https://www.cambridgeenglish.org/test-your-english/
Here at ECS Scotland we have three main year round courses we offer.
