Introduction to Edinburgh School of Food & Wine

Edinburgh School of Food & Wine (ESFW) was established in 1986, beginning its life as The Edinburgh Cookery School. Now with over 30 years of experience, ESFW is a multi award-winning cookery school that gives aspiring cooks and chefs a comprehensive education in food and cooking.

The team at the school are passionate about the food and education industries and we are proud to work with countless organisations, industry bodies and charities (The Independent Cookery Schools Association, Slow Food Scotland, Scottish Qualifications Authority, Scotland Food & Drink) to ensure that we remain at the cutting-edge of what we do and can pass our knowledge on to our students, helping them engage with the industry early in their careers.

We also work with a great number of employers; restaurants, hotels, private chef agencies, patisserie and bakeries to ensure that our students have the best chance of finding work at the end of their chosen course.
