Stableroom Playgroup-SCIO

We’ve had a great start to 2026 ☺️ our construction area and vehicles are as popular as ever. We’ve enjoyed mark making, glitter play dough and we’ve talked about shapes and colours. Our children have been busy in the hospital taking care of the “babies”, teddies and each other. Valentines 💖 and birthday celebrations 🎂 today too. We hope all our playgroup children and families have a wonderful mid-term holiday ☺️✨

🌟 Volunteers Wanted 🌟

We are looking for volunteers to support our children’s playgroup based in Dell Road, Colinton Village, on a Tuesday or Thursday morning. If you enjoy reading stories, playing, and spending time with children aged 2–5 years, we would love to hear from you.

No previous experience is required—just a positive attitude and an interest in working with young children.

It’s been another busy few weeks at Stableroom as we’ve gone from collecting leaves and learning all about autumn, to winter, where we’ve wrapped up in our layers for the garden and even found some water had turned to ice. We’ve enjoyed the lead up to Christmas, with many glitter themed crafts and made some beautiful decorations to take home. We’d like to wish all our playgroup children and families a wonderful festive break and we look forward to the next fun year ahead ☺️🎨🧸⚽️🛝💛

This week at playgroup we had lots of fun making our own glittery fireworks and learning about fire safety 🎇🎆🚒🧯🧑‍🚒
