Edinburgh University Sports Union is the #1 Sporting Institution in Scotland and 4th in the UK with an incredible 67 Clubs and over 10,000 members. There is an excellent Intramural and Recreational Sport Programme and a Coaching & Volunteering Academy with a year long programme of events, seminars and opportunities to engage and develop as an athlete and as a person.

Over 8,000 students joined us yesterday to explore everything Sport at Edinburgh has to offer - from clubs to intramural, coaching, volunteering and more!

Voting is now OPEN for the 2026 Sports Union By‑Elections!

We have candidates standing for Vice President – Inclusion and Wellbeing & Inclusion Officer, two key roles that help shape an inclusive and supportive sporting community.

🔗 Head to the link in our bio to read about each candidate and cast your vote. Remember, RON (Re‑Open Nominations) is also available if you feel none of the candidates are suitable for the role.

All Sports Union members who are matriculated students at the University of Edinburgh are eligible to vote.

🌍 INTERNATIONAL REPRESENTATION | TOUCH RUGBY 🏉

Next through passport control, Touch Rugby. ✈️

A huge summer for Edinburgh Touch Rugby, with 11 members of the club representing Scotland across the European Touch Championships in Vichy and the European Youth Touch Championships in Coventry.

In Vichy, Emily Neil, Olivia Tarry, Keira Lessels and Nina Donaldson represented Scotland Women’s Open, with Olivia named Players’ Player and Keira finishing as Scotland’s top try scorer.

Charlie Gould and Ethan Prestwood helped Scotland Men’s Open to a European bronze medal, while Josiah KC Yuen represented Scotland in the Mixed Open competition.

The international action continued in Coventry, where Keira Lessels, Owen Black, George Murdoch and Finlay Williamson all came away with European bronze at the Youth Championships. George captained the side, while Joel Hasson, originally selected as captain before injury, travelled as team manager.

An incredible summer of first caps, medals, individual honours and international experience for Edinburgh Touch Rugby. 🏴

Join us at the International Sports Festival and discover everything Edinburgh Sport has to offer. Connect with other international students, try a range of fun activities, and celebrate cultures from around the world through sport.
