Our Story

Access to Industry exists to move excluded people into education and on to employment across Scotland.

We do this through the creation and development of innovative and effective education and training programmes that encourage and facilitate access to employment and higher education opportunities.

Our programmes help people to develop essential core skills such as communications, information technology and problem solving. They also provide specific training and skills relevant to key sectors such as hospitality, retail and the public sector.

All our courses are delivered through partnerships with leading education and training providers throughout Scotland. We also work closely with employers to provide supported work experience placements.

Passport, EnCompass and EdinMe
Our Passport, EnCompass and EdinMe programmes are tailored to the needs of those who are moving on from particularly challenging backgrounds, including care, prison and substance misuse. To deliver these programmes we work in partnership with a wide range of other organisations (such as HMP Edinburgh) and care providers.

In these programmes, we offer group work activity complemented by a one-to-one approach. This personalised approach ensures much higher sucess rates for those involved.
