Our Mid and East Cooking Group have been testing out some great budget recipes from Jack Monroe's Thrifty Kitchen book.
On the menu recently has been macaroni cheese with black pudding (pics 3-7), which came in at Β£1.32/portion, and corned beef chilli (pics 8-10) π.

A joy having artist Beth Farmer back creating with our EdinMe young peoples' art group!
They made some colourful collages to warm up (pics 1 & 2), before designing and printing their own t-shirts (pics 3 & 4), and painting with alcohol inks (pics 5 & 6).

Our Access Beauty progression course with Premier aesthetics β the follow-on from Beauty Basics β this session teaching lash lift, the perming of the lashes to give a good curl π.

Things are growing and the bees are happy at our weekly Gardening Group (Mondays, 1:30pm-3:30pm). There's also a flourishing little herb garden with chives, rosemary and thyme. We have space for new attendees β call our admin office on 0131 260 9721 to make a referral π.

We are so proud of the work produced during our young peopleβs Art Group during July, that we thought weβd share a glimpse of it.
They tried their hand at Mono Printing, Lino Printing, Riso Printing, and Screenprinting (onto t-shirts), enthusiastically getting stuck in with each printing practice and producing some beautiful pieces of art.

π€ Our Mid and East Lothian Recovery Service have been well fed recently! The Cooking Group made an indulgent pasta carbonara, served with garlic bread made with homemade garlic butter (images 1-3), plus a colourful, balanced and filling egg fried rice on a budget of 60p/portion (image 4).
Our Wellbeing and Life Skills group then made special iced biscuits (images 5 & 6) β works of art π¨!
