Our Mid and East Cooking Group have been testing out some great budget recipes from Jack Monroe's Thrifty Kitchen book.
On the menu recently has been macaroni cheese with black pudding (pics 3-7), which came in at £1.32/portion, and corned beef chilli (pics 8-10) 😋.

We are so proud of the work produced during our young people’s Art Group during July, that we thought we’d share a glimpse of it.
They tried their hand at Mono Printing, Lino Printing, Riso Printing, and Screenprinting (onto t-shirts), enthusiastically getting stuck in with each printing practice and producing some beautiful pieces of art.

🤌 Our Mid and East Lothian Recovery Service have been well fed recently! The Cooking Group made an indulgent pasta carbonara, served with garlic bread made with homemade garlic butter (images 1-3), plus a colourful, balanced and filling egg fried rice on a budget of 60p/portion (image 4).
Our Wellbeing and Life Skills group then made special iced biscuits (images 5 & 6) – works of art 🎨!

Passport, EnCompass and EdinMe
Our Passport, EnCompass and EdinMe programmes are tailored to the needs of those who are moving on from particularly challenging backgrounds, including care, prison and substance misuse. To deliver these programmes we work in partnership with a wide range of other organisations (such as HMP Edinburgh) and care providers.
In these programmes, we offer group work activity complemented by a one-to-one approach. This personalised approach ensures much higher sucess rates for those involved.
