This week, we've got a 1988 drama-comedy for you, The Milagro Beanfield War, directed and produced by Robert Redford. A small community of farmers in the tiny town of Milagro vie for water rights as a greedy land developer’s plans to construct a nearby resort drain their fields dry. Based on John Nichols 1974 first novel in his New Mexico trilogy. Screened at Cannes Film Festival ‘88 with an Oscar-winning score.
