Today we had a very special visitor, Gemma and baby Millie! 🌸💖

The children in pre-school were delighted to meet Millie and had lots of good questions for Gemma about her.

A little bit of this week’s fun in the sun! 📸☀️💦🌸

This week we have been celebrating World Bee Day (which is officially today, May 20th) to say thank you to the bees for their hard work.

We have been discussing and exploring with the children why Bees are so important? And here’s what we have been learning…

🐝 They are Nature’s helpers: Bees fly from flower to flower drinking sweet nectar and collecting fuzzy yellow pollen.

🐝 They help make food: When pollen sticks to them and moves to different flowers, it helps plants grow fruits, vegetables, and nuts.

🐝 They make Honey: Bees take the nectar they collect and magically turn it into honey in their hives

In order to support our busy Bee’s we have been planting LOTS of wild flowers and other Bee friendly seeds in our Nursery garden over the last few weeks 🪴🌸🪻🌷🐝
