Music teachers wanted in Edinburgh
Morningside School of Music is expanding its community of freelance teachers following a considerable increase in lesson enquiries for the new term.
Established in 1999, our school now brings together more than 50 qualified music professionals. We would be delighted to hear from music graduates with proven teaching experience across any instrument or voice.
What we offer
• Competitive professional teaching fees
• A strong stream of pupil enquiries
• Fully equipped teaching rooms in Morningside
• Administrative and scheduling support
• Flexible availability around your existing commitments
Most teachers choose to offer one or two regular teaching days each week. You tell us when you are available and remain free to teach privately or work with other organisations.
Our pupils include children and adults, from complete beginners to advanced musicians. Lessons cover classical, pop, jazz, blues, country and rock, alongside ABRSM, RSL Rockschool and Trinity College London pathways.
We are looking for teachers who have a recognised degree in music, proven teaching experience and excellent professional references. You should bring warmth, enthusiasm and reliability to your teaching.
All opportunities are offered on a self employed, freelance basis. Once you accept a regular pupil, we ask that you approach the commitment with care and consistency.
Appropriate PVG Scheme membership and disclosure will be required before teaching begins. We will arrange the application and cover the cost in full.
We welcome applications from suitably qualified teachers of every background. Reasonable adjustments are available throughout the application process.
