Had a pupil leave me today after 12 years. I taught him and his brother over the past 15.5 years so really is the end of an era!

Received these beautiful flowers and a really lovely framed photo of each of them after their first piano lesson at 4.5/5 years old. So adorable, and amazing to see both of them grow up to be lovely boys over the years!

Really will be missed.

This popped up in a Facebook memory from 15 years ago this week too! That was the eldest one confidently remembering his notes when he didn't even know the alphabet!

Today saw my last lesson of Amy who I’ve taught piano from complete beginner to post grade 8 over the past 10 years. 🎹 She’s sadly leaving me to head to St Andrew’s University for her next chapter. 😢Over the years it’s been a running theme from day one that her lessons needed a cuddly companion, so it was so lovely to see all of the favourite piano lesson companions today all in one place. I even have my own Stitch now as a farewell gift! All the best to you Amy! 😺

Hi all, I have two slots coming up from the start of July for either piano, music theory, recorder, clarinet and saxophone. I only teach on Friday afternoons and the available slots are 1pm-1.45pm and 5.45pm-6.45pm (could also be 2 half hours). I have two students leaving me for university after many years. I teach online for various reasons but please get in touch if you or someone you know is looking for a teacher. Looking to fill with long term students. Thanks. 😊

A sad day today, with my longest serving pupil, leaving me after 13 1/2 years. I started teaching Henry when he was just 4 1/2, and now he’s about to leave school and start his adult life at 18! Received this lovely delivery from Henry at my door while I was still teaching his brother which was quite the surprise! 💐 End of an era! 🥲

🏖️I have another lovely composition by Helena. “Life on the Beach”

A boy is playing on the beach and a bird comes down and the boy drops his ice cream. The boy is sad but then a girl called Molly corks over and gives the boy a new ice cream. The boy is happy again! 🏖️

Been a bit quiet on here lately, but I had to share this little tune by one of my students.

Helena wrote a tune for her recorder about a cat called Happy and this is his story.

😺Happy is playing in the garden and then sees some birds🐦‍⬛🐦‍⬛🐦‍⬛. Happy then pauses (and does a cat bum wiggle), and then pounces on the birds. The birds fly away (phew!) and the Happy goes back to playing again.

Isn’t it wonderful! 😺
