Tourist as a Local: Holyrood, Edinburgh 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Not my most successful day out as a tourist BUT by far and a way the least expensive day I’ve done yet 😅

On my Holyrood excursion I visited:

- Scottish Parliament

- Holyrood Distillery

- The Black Grape


What is this series?

I’ve lived in Edinburgh for over seven years, and there are still so many attractions, restaurants and experiences I’ve never actually experienced for myself.

So come along as I explore the city properly - through the eyes of both a local and a visitor.

Whenever I travel, I love doing all the classic tourist things, and I’ve realised visitors are often looking for completely different recommendations from the people who live here.

I’ll be sharing my honest thoughts on what’s genuinely worth your time, where I’d recommend eating, and whether Edinburgh’s most talked-about places actually live up to the hype - whether you’re visiting the city or you’ve lived here for years

And finally... why am I doing this? 👀

Well, my cookery school now runs a Traditional Scottish Cooking Class, which I genuinely think is one of the loveliest experiences for anyone visiting Edinburgh 🥹🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿
