McCrae's Battalion Trust Remembrance Lunch is on Sunday 16th November this year. Due to Hearts playing at home on Remembrance Sunday, we have reluctantly made the decision to move it this year.

We're currently contacting previous attendees to confirm attendance, but if you are interested please contact our Trustee, Pamela Forbes, on [email protected] for more details.

As always. We will be represented at the Haymarket Remembrance Service and perform one of the readings.

The majority of McCrae's Battalion Trust trustees will be in France for the 1st July pilgrimage; a couple of other trustees will be laying a wreath outside the Usher Hall, at the McCrae's Battalion memorial plaque 11am on July 1st, with a few words from our (ex due to relocation) padre Peter Sutton 🖤

Productive MBT board meeting last night, lots of exciting projects in the year ahead. We're always looking for volunteers and people to get involved so please contact us www.mccraesbattaliontrust.org.uk/contact-us/

We can also confirm we raised over £6.5k at our Remembrance Sunday lunch this year. This helps us maintain the Contalmaison Cairn, take injured veterans and school children to the Somme, as well as funding other educational Remembrance activities. Many thanks to everyone who participates 😍

The Friends of Dalry Cemetery do a great job, we were pleased to attend their act of remembrance today - and of course check the Hearts Memorial en route.
City of Edinburgh Council restood the last family headstone of the war dead this year, Royal Scots David Goodlet who died two days after the armistice was signed. He was remembered today, his story was shared.
