BESPOKE INDUSTRY VISIT FOR VOCATIONAL COLLEGE LAPPIA.

A few weeks ago, we were delighted to organise a bespoke industry visit programme on catering for one of our Finnish partners, Vocational College Lappia.

We made interesting, attractive and appetizing visits to restaurants, bakeries and confectionaries. Our finish colleagues where kind to see and meet with businesses who are regularly hosting interns.

Our two days programme started by eating at Wedgwood the Restaurant, a restaurant in which we were able to taste some exquisite Scottish food cooked with local ingredients. We continued by visiting Cafe Andaluz, a restaurant specializing in Spanish food. And to end on a sweet note we went to COCO Chocolatier where we learn about the process to elaborate artisan chocolate bars and taste some of their creations.

We started our second day at the steakhouse Kyloe Restaurant (amazing cow themed decors), followed by a visit to Breadshare bakery where we learnt about organic sourdough bread making and finished our programme at Tigerlily Edinburgh with a great lunch in amazing surroundings.

It was fantastic to spend time with our Finnish colleagues from Lappia and be able to showcase Edinburgh and some of the possibilities for internships and professional development.
