Music Together with Olivia Music classes for children aged 0-5 years, taught by a primary school teacher with a music degree!

There are a lot of new faces on here so I thought I’d introduce myself and tell you a little bit about Music Together with Olivia!

My name is Olivia and I am a fully qualified primary school teacher with a HNC in early education and childcare as well as a BA (HONS) in Music. I offer mixed aged music classes for families with children aged 0-5 years old.

I believe that all children are musical and can achieve basic music competence, which is simply singing in tune, and keeping an accurate beat. Classes are always engaging and varied for different ages and abilities, we also have a lot of fun along the way while introducing basic music skills to your little ones!

I run 10 classes a week, Monday - Friday in Morningside and Stockbridge. All classes are taught by myself.

There have been a lot of new followers on here so I thought I’d reintroduce myself and tell you what Music Together with Olivia is all about!

Music Together with Olivia started in August 2022 and has been growing ever since. Classes are all taught by myself - a fully qualified (PGDE) experienced primary school teacher with a BA (HONS) in Commercial Music as well as a HNC in Early Education and Childcare.

The basic Music Together philosophy is the belief that all children are musical and can achieve basic music competence, which is simply singing in tune and keeping an accurate beat. We also have a lot of fun along the way while learning how to do these things!

Classes are research based and age appropriate, meaning there’s method behind our madness! The classes are for children aged 0-5 years old therefore I would never expect your little one to sit for 45 minutes throughout a class. What I do ask of you, the adults, is to join in with me and more importantly, have fun! Little ones at this young age don’t know if you can sing in tune or not, but they do know if you’re having fun and if they see you having fun, they’ll want to have fun too!

I aim to give you the skills and confidence to take what we do in class home with you so that you can continue your musical journey together as a family!

A year ago I left teaching and started Music Together with Olivia. I was terrified but also incredibly excited. I had 12 amazing families join me for that first term. I am now going into my second year with over 50 amazing families… I feel so lucky to be able to share such happy moments with all of you each day and share my love of music ❤️🎶. I can’t wait to get back to class and see you all again!

There are lots of new faces, ones that are joining for their second year and also lots of new siblings to meet too! 👶❤️🎶

There’s so much on offer. I’ll be there on Saturday and Sunday, demos will run at 12pm & 1pm.
