As the days get a little colder, dive into the Ocean Commotion Soft Play! Open from 11am for kids aged 0–6 to explore, climb & play 🐟

Explore this ocean-themed escape for just £4 per child and £2 per child for Dynamic Earth Membership Holders.

On Friday 11th September, join Scotland’s Astronomer Royal, Catherine Heymans, as she launches her brand-new book in our Planetarium! 🔭

With live music from local band the Sound Rays, and an immersive full-dome visual experience, Catherine will explore whether humanity could ever create a virtual universe as rich and diverse as our own. Unpack the rules that appear to govern our existence as we ask will technology ever be able to replicate the complexity of life? Could consciousness be coded? Catherine invites you to reconsider what it means to be real.

Follow the Monsters & Myths Trail through Dynamic Earth’s interactive galleries and uncover the real creatures, natural wonders and scientific secrets that have inspired your favourite spooky tales - from dragons to kelpies! Your final stop on this adventure will be in our café, where you’ll mix your very own potion experiment.

Plus - get involved in spooky Seasonal Sessions with our science clubs for under 6s; start your day with in our Planetarium as we screen classic family films and stay up after dark with our Planetarium Lates showings for adults! 🎃

This September, don't miss a new term of science clubs! 🦖

At Dynamic Earth, we have three science clubs for children under 12. Spark their curiosity for science with our sensory storytelling sessions, then watch them grow into confident explorers with our kids science club. Each session has an exciting new theme every week: from geology, to rainforests, to polar animals, to rockets and outer space! Sessions start from 5th September.

🦖 Dynamites | Under 4s
Single session booking is open for our DynaMites club, running on Fridays at 10am.
✨ £6 per session, includes entry to Ocean Commotion Soft Play every Friday of Dynamites!

🦖 Dynamos | Ages 4-6
Single session booking is open for our Dynamos club, running on Fridays at 2pm.
✨ £6 per session, includes entry to Ocean Commotion Soft Play every Friday of Dynamos!

🦖 Dino's | Ages 6-12
Block booking is now open for all 13 sessions of the upcoming term, running on Saturdays at 10am, 11.30am, 1.30pm or 3pm.
✨ Only £39 for all 13 sessions! (£3 per session)
❗Single session booking will open on 26th August for Dino's Science Club.

Until 30th August, families can explore Earth’s amazing animal athletes with our Champions of the Wild trail: a fun adventure celebrating the science behind nature’s most incredible creatures! 🏅🐾

Follow the trail through our galleries and discover which creatures leap the highest, sprint the fastest or show off super strength. Take part in interactive activities and collect your very own medal to take home! Then, continue the fun outdoors with classic garden games on our terrace. Challenge your friends and family to giant tumbling tower, Connect 4 and more.
