Did you know that January 23rd 2023 marks the first day of the year of the Black Rabbit or Water Rabbit in the lunar new year calendar? ๐Ÿฐ

Whilst it is widely known as Chinese New Year, it's is called the Lunar New Year as Koreans and other cultures follow and celebrate it too. In Korean, we call it ์„ค (Seol).

Here are some Korean facts about Lunar New Year celebrations...
๐Ÿœ Traditionally on Lunar New Years day, we will eat a delicious rice cake soup called ๋–ก๊ตญ (Tteokguk).
๐Ÿ™‡ Children must bow to their parents and older relatives, which is called ์„ธ๋ฐฐ (sebae), as a sign of respect.
๐ŸŽ‰ Experiencing the festivities whilst wearing Korean traditional clothes called ํ•œ๋ณต (Hanbok) is highly encouraged!

Why not start the year of the Water/Black Rabbit strong by learning a new skill like speaking Korean? All levels are very welcome.

Email or DM me if you're interested or have any questions! โ˜บ๏ธ
