I am running a small group coaching pilot for Small Business owners who are feeling Frazzled by all the plates they are spinning.
The programme will be a space to:
• Get clear on your priorities and decide on how you want to go about tackling them in a way that works for you and your business
• Move forward feeling energised and in control
• Connect with like-minded business owners
Who it is for?
• Business owners who want to make the most of their limited time.
• Those feeling stretched too thin.
• Anyone unsure where to focus their time or energy in their business.
• Leaders who know there is a huge benefit to taking a step back and looking at the bigger picture but never seem to find the time.
• Business owners who would like a peer group to share ideas and get feedback.
• Those wanting to feel more motivated and energised in their business – to have more fun doing what they do.

So often, we wait to feel confident enough or believe we need to know everything before we start. But I’ve learnt that when stepping into the unknown, bravery comes first. By taking action, confidence grows, and so does our learning and knowledge. Coaching helps you explore why you want to take the action in the first place, what "good" looks like for you, what has held you back in the past, and what you want to do differently. Any myths that have kept you stuck or truths that have propelled you forward?

There are many reasons why people feel stuck. Getting the motivation to try and make changes can feel big.
Here are three small things that helped me start to take positive action for me:
- Notice what gives you energy in your everyday life - do more of it.
- Try something new, something you’ve been putting off or have always been curious about. Give it a go and see what you learn.
- Recognise what you’re doing well. What are you proud of?

One thing that gives me energy is being outside. I make sure to get outdoors at least once a day. It improves my thinking and I am more productive when I come back inside.

There is a power in how we talk and think about our situations.
Not in a take over the world kind of way, but in a power to get yourself to do what you want to do. To start trusting that you have a choice in what happens next. Some words hold you back and others propel you towards action.
Which one resonates with you?
Give it a go and see how you feel about a situation when you change how you think about it. I particularly like should to could and if only to next time.

Yesterday, I took part in a Cycle Leadership course with East Lothian Council Outdoor Learning Service Thank you, Philippa, for making it such a fun, thought-provoking and informative day!
Doing the course is part of my plan to see if I can incorporate more outdoor fun into my coaching business. The course gave me plenty to think about - not just in terms of coaching professionals who feel stuck, but also how impactful it is to use leadership skills in a real situation. I learned a lot about how I handle tricky situations and what I need to develop in the future. I also realised how much more impactful and memorable hands-on experience is compared to simply learning theory in a classroom. I know how I would like to react in a situation, but to have the chance to put it to the test was so informative. It made the learning memorable! So this is something I would like to investigate further.
The experience also got me thinking about using my skills to help people feel more confident on their bikes - so they can embrace adventure and experience the freedom I feel when I cycle. The sense of achievement when reaching the top of a hill, the thrill of speeding back down (yay for “what goes up must come down”!), the beautiful places you can access, the independence… and, for me at least, the joy of not waiting for a bus as often!
Cycling isn’t for everyone, but if you’re craving an adventure, considering cycling to work, or want to get your child on a bike but don’t feel confident in your skills, I’d love to chat and explore whether this kind of support would be valuable to people in the future.
I’m keen to understand if people would be interested in support of this kind.

Hello, I am Sheila, a transformational coach who supports people and organisations in times of change and uncertainty at work.
Coaching is a great space for you to explore what is important to you, what your strengths are, what your values are, what motivates you, what beliefs, thoughts or actions are unhelpful to you.
Why does this matter? If you really know yourself, it is so much easier to live and work intentionally. To make decisions that are best for you based on what you know makes you tick. To have ammunition against your own negative thoughts.
I offer one off power hours. Great for motivating you or creating a sense of calm around a specific situation like an interview, an event, or a business pitch.

One of my biggest learnings this month has been:
That no one ever feels ready at the beginning of something new.
Be it starting a new job, a new business, launching a new product, leading in a new way, or trying out a new way of doing something.
The action required to do something new takes courage and a leap into the unknown. Not feeling ready is not a unique feeling for you, it doesn’t mean you shouldn’t be doing it. It is a human response to doing something new.
Something I find helps is asking,
What is the worst that can happen if you take the plunge?
What is the best thing that can happen?
What happens if you do nothing?
