Our brilliant Media & Communications Officer Jade is moving on from the SMP to a promoted post with Engender, Scotland's feminist policy and advocacy organisation. Jade, who will be with us until the end of March has been a fabulous asset to the life and work of the SMP and whilst we shall miss her, we are thrilled about Jade’s progress!

This creates a vacancy to join our highly-motivated team working with inspiring SMP Members to support, connect and represent an exciting array of diverse Scotland-Malawi links.

In Amy Bench’s emotional drama, MORE THAN I REMEMBER, fourteen-year-old Mugeni awakes to the sounds of bombs. As her family scatters to the surrounding forests to save themselves, Mugeni finds herself completely alone.

June Bell unearths the painful truth of her sister’s overdose and finds the closure she didn’t know she needed in the drama MY DEAR GOD by Tara Sheffer.

In the drama NORTH STAR by P.J. Palmer, a rural rancher and his ailing husband, struggling against poverty and isolation, are forced to make a heartbreaking decision in order to preserve the dignity of their marriage in the face of mounting pressures from relatives.

The animated short THE SEA OF HOPE by Walid Salhab depicts a refugee father and son’s dangerous sea journey to escape their war-torn country.

In Nicole Pott’s drama WANDERLAND, a young girl attempts to navigate the seafront in the search for her missing alcoholic mother over the course of one night.
