𝐀𝐧 𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐧 𝐥𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐭𝐨 𝐝𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬… 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐭𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐰𝐡𝐨 𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐥𝐲 𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐞.
We know how much you love your child.
We see the lifts, the late nights, the rushing from school to class, the pride in your eyes when they perform.
And we want you to know…we’re on the same team.
But there are a few things we wish you understood, not as criticism, but so we can support your child together in the best way possible.
Progress in dance takes time.
It’s not always visible straight away.
Strength, coordination and confidence are built slowly, and that’s okay.
Confidence matters just as much as technique.
How your child feels in class will always impact how they perform.
Feeling safe and supported allows them to grow.
Corrections are care.
When we correct your child, it’s not because they’ve done something wrong, it’s because we see potential and want to help them improve.
Comparison can be damaging.
Every dancer is on their own journey.
What works for one child may not work for another, and that doesn’t make one “better” than the other
Not every child wants to be professional.
And they don’t have to be.
Dance still teaches confidence, resilience, discipline and friendships that last far beyond the studio.
What you say at home matters more than you realise.
The conversations after class, the way you speak about progress, corrections and other dancers… it all shapes how your child sees themselves.
We don’t expect perfection.
But when teachers and parents work together with understanding, patience and trust…
That’s when children truly thrive.
If you’re a parent reading this, thank you for everything you do, we appreciate you and the support you show.
Teachers, feel free to share this with your dance families.

✨Huge congratulations to all our lovely young ladies who took their RAD Intermediate Foundation exam today!✨
With a smaller session, it became a beautifully personal experience — a videoed exam with Miss Vanessa stepping in as examiner/videographer and Miss Jennifer providing the music with her usual grace.
Watching each of you dance with such focus, artistry, and heart made us incredibly proud. You rose to the occasion, supported one another, and shone in your own unique ways.
Well done, girls — you were wonderful. 🩰
