Day 3 for Year 8s! 🧗‍♂️

Today the boys had another fantastic day packed with fun and adventure! In the morning, they got stuck into activities including Night Line and Buggy Build, showing great teamwork, communication and problem solving skills.

In the afternoon they challenged themselves on the Climbing Wall and High Ropes, overcoming fears, building confidence, and encouraging one another every step of the way. To round of the day, they hit the dance floor for the evening activity and certainly they didn’t disappoint!

Day 3 for Year 5 ☔️

The boys have had a busy and exciting day, packed with adventure despite the occasional shower! Today they put their orienteering skills to the test, sailed the ships they proudly built yesterday, and finished the day by constructing their own shelters. Thankfully, those shelters are just for building and not for sleeping in tonight! A fantastic day full of teamwork, creativity, and outdoor fun. 🪵

Day 2 in North Devon for Year 8s! 🏄‍♂️

An action-packed day of adventure, with students taking on the waves through surfing and exploring the stunning coastline while coasteering. From building confidence in the water to supporting one another through new challenges, it was a fantastic day full of energy, teamwork, and unforgettable memories.

Day 1 in Dorset with Year 5! ⛺️

What a fantastic first day in the sun while creating their own Saxon Runes, building their own wattle and daub walls, and turning their hand at illuminated writing like a medieval monk.

🔬Year 4 Science in Action! 🐛

Today, our Year 4 learners became real scientists as they investigated how woodlice respond to different environments using choice chambers.

We created a range of mini habitats - some dark and damp, others light and dry - to mimic the conditions woodlice might find in the wild. The big question was: Where would the woodlice choose to go? 🤔

After careful observation, the results were clear… 🌧️🌑
The woodlice mostly moved towards the wet and dark areas of the chamber! This helped us understand how living things are adapted to their habitats and how they respond to changes in their environment. Amazing scientific thinking, teamwork, and curiosity all round! 🌍 ✨

A big welcome back to our pupils today as we head into the last half term of this academic year!

We began with an assembly focusing on celebrating scholarships. Entering these processes requires something incredibly important: the willingness to put yourself in a position where success is not guaranteed.

Never underestimate how much courage it simply takes to try. Scholarships is not only about what you achieve but also about who you become on the way. Many fantastic scholarships have been awarded this year - and we can’t wait to congratulate you all at prize giving!
