Tiddlers Wraparound A Playgroup based in Trethomas which runs every morning and afternoon 9am -11.30am and 1pm - 3:30pm plus the option of Lunch hour 11.30am - 1pm.

We are currently looking for some full-size buggies/pushchairs that we can use at Tiddlers for our younger children to sit or lie in when needed.

If you have a buggy at home that your little one has outgrown and you no longer use, we would be incredibly grateful if you would consider donating it to us. As long as it is in good, safe, working condition, we would be very happy to give it a new home!

Please speak to a member of the Tiddlers team if you have one you would be happy to donate.

Important Notice – Tiddlers Closure

Dear Families,

We have made the difficult decision to close Tiddlers on Wednesday and Thursday due to the Red Weather Warning that has been issued.

The safety and wellbeing of our children, families, and staff must always be our priority, and after carefully considering the forecast and potential risks, we feel that closure is the safest option.

We are very sorry for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate that this may impact family arrangements. Thank you for your understanding and support during these exceptional weather conditions.

We will continue to monitor updates and will keep families informed of any further developments.

Important Notice: Hot Weather Arrangements

Dear Families,

The Met Office has issued heat health alerts for our area, and temperatures are expected to remain exceptionally high over the coming days. We would therefore like to remind all families to help us keep children safe and comfortable whilst attending Tiddler's.

Please ensure that your child arrives with:

• A named sun hat that provides good shade for their face and neck.
• Sunscreen already applied before arriving at the setting.
• A named bottle of sunscreen for reapplication throughout the session if required.
• Appropriate lightweight clothing and suitable footwear.
• A named water bottle.

We will continue to take measures to reduce the risk of heat-related illness by providing regular access to drinking water, encouraging rest in shaded areas, making use of shaded areas of the garden, and adapting activities where necessary.

However, if you feel that the heat may be too much for your child, particularly if they are very young, sensitive to high temperatures, or have any health concerns, we fully understand if you choose to keep them at home until temperatures become more manageable.

The wellbeing, comfort, and safety of the children remain our priority, and we appreciate your support in helping us keep everyone safe during this period of exceptionally hot weather.

🌞 Summer Fun at Tiddlers! 🌞

Our Sponsored Obstacle Course will be taking place during the week commencing 22nd June! The obstacle course will run throughout the week so that every child has the opportunity to take part, regardless of which days they attend. Sponsor forms will be sent home with children shortly. All sponsor forms and sponsorship money should be returned by 29th June.

Please note that Tiddlers will be closed on Monday 22nd June for our staff INSET day.

🧺 Annual Summer Picnic – Friday 10th July

All families are warmly invited to join us for our annual Summer Picnic.

☀️ If the weather is kind, we will head to the forest walk area.
☔ If not, we will hold the picnic at Tiddlers.

Morning Picnic:
9:15am – 11am

Afternoon Picnic:
1:15pm – 3 pm

If your child does not usually attend on a Friday, you are still very welcome to come along. Each child must be accompanied by at least one adult. If we are able to go to the forest, there is no limit on family members attending, the more the merrier!

We will also be holding our annual raffle at the end of each picnic session. Raffle tickets will be sent home nearer the time.

We can't wait to see you all there!
