You’re all heading off on your next big adventure, and we couldn’t be prouder. We’ll miss you dearly — good luck in everything that comes next. Keep shining 💛✨

This week has been super exciting! 🌟
We joined our friends in Hengoed Nursery to meet some amazing animals — including a snake, skunk, meerkat, armadillo, and even a blue‑tongued lizard! 🐍🦨🦎
We also celebrated our Welsh culture by heading out on a school trip to St Fagans with Hengoed Nursery, where we searched high and low for Mrs Jones’ red dragon. ❤️🐉
We loved seeing all the animals, exploring the different buildings, and discovering the castle.
Thank you, Hengoed Primary, for sharing your fun adventures with us!
Mae’r wythnos hon wedi bod yn hynod gyffrous! 🌟
Ymunon ni â’n ffrindiau yn Meithrin Hengoed i gwrdd ag anifeiliaid anhygoel — gan gynnwys neidr, ffwlbart, meerkat, armadillo, ac hyd yn oed llygoden geinog â thafod glas! 🐍🦨🦎
Fe wnaethon ni hefyd ddathlu ein diwylliant Cymreig drwy fynd ar drip ysgol i Sain Ffagan gyda Meithrin Hengoed, lle buom yn chwilio i fyny ac i lawr am ddraig goch Mrs Jones. ❤️🐉
Roedden ni wrth ein bodd yn gweld yr anifeiliaid, edrych ar yr adeiladau gwahanol ac yn crwydro’r castell.
Diolch, Ysgol Gynradd Hengoed, am rannu eich anturiaethau hwyliog gyda ni!

This week, the children chose Hide and Seek Pig as our book of the week, and our Welsh word was moch, meaning pig. We’ve had plenty of pig‑themed fun — from playing hide and seek and building dens to searching for our cheeky pig hidden around the club.
In after‑school club, the children got creative making bookmarks, mixing up colourful slime, building cosy dens, and even jumping in puddles after enjoying the rain. A week full of imagination, exploration, and lots of happy moments.
Yr wythnos hon, dewison ni Hide and Seek Pig fel ein llyfr yr wythnos, ac roedd ein gair Cymraeg yn moch, sy’n golygu pig. Wnaeth y plant fwynhau llawer o weithgareddau — o chwarae cuddio, adeiladu cytiau, i chwilio am ein mochyn direidus o gwmpas y clwb.
Yn y clwb ar ôl ysgol, wnaeth y plant greu nodau tudalen, gwneud slime lliwgar, adeiladu cytiau clyd, ac wrth gwrs neidio mewn pyllau ar ôl mwynhau’r glaw. Wythnos llawn dychymyg, archwilio a llawer o wên.

Our book of the week has been peep inside the forest.
Our welsh word of the week 'coeden' meaning tree.
This week we've enjoyed learning about the forest & looking at all the different types of leaves you can find on trees.
This has been the perfect opportunity to stay cool during a very warm week, staying in the shade and using our imaginations pretending we were in a forest and made forest tea.
We've also enjoyed lots of water play, very much needed with the heat.
Celebrating pink day & national pen pal day was super exciting. Our afterschool children enjoyed writing letters to children in other clubs in our clwb y Ddraig family.
Thank you for understanding the need to close for 2 days, due to the red alert. We look forward to seeing you all next week. Have a great weekend!
