On Armed Forces Day, I would like to offer my sincere thanks to all serving personnel, veterans, reservists, and the families who stand beside them.
As an ex-serviceman, I understand that service is about far more than wearing a uniform. It means commitment, sacrifice, resilience, and putting others before yourself. It also means time away from loved ones, missed family moments, and facing challenges that many never see.
Today, we honour those who continue to serve, those who have served before us, and we remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice. We also recognise the unwavering support of military families, whose strength and encouragement make that service possible.
Thank you for your dedication, your courage, and your selfless service to our country. Your contribution will never be forgotten.
