Panning for 'gold' at our Saturday Morning Explorers Club was great fun 😃

Finding pyrite and hematite treasure hidden in the sand was so exciting 😁

☠️ PIRATES SPOTTED IN THE FOREST

We had such a fabulous day yesterday at our first holiday club of the summer.

Pirates galore ran amok among the trees and sailed the Jolly Acorn through the forest.

We learned to use a compass to follow clues to where the treasure map was hidden, honed our map-reading skills to locate the treasure, we made pirate rafts and sailed them and made our own treasure maps.

There was plenty of swashbuckling, sword play and walking the plank and we even had time for some bug-hunting, whittling, swinging and relaxing in the hammock.

We've had a fabulous afternoon at Women In The Woods today 😀

Four wonderful hours of peace and companionship in nature while we explored the forest and the stream, lit our own little fires, foraged for summer flowers, made clover and chia seed pudding, created summer solstice kinusaiga pictures, whittled imaginative hanging decorations and celebrate the solstice with pineapple- w**d tea 😋
