🎉 A little anniversary offer from us…

The Level 2 Risk Assessment course was the very first course The Bonny Academy ever ran as a registered centre!

So, to celebrate our anniversary, we thought we’d take this one right back to the beginning.

For our 6th November course, we’ve dropped the price from £70 to just £30!

Risk assessment might not sound like the most exciting subject in the world 😂 but knowing how to identify hazards, assess risk properly and put sensible control measures in place is useful across so many different workplaces and industries...and for £30, it’s a great opportunity to bump up your CV!

Have you ever had one of those moments at work where you’ve thought, “That was close!”? 😬

Nobody was hurt, nothing was damaged and everyone carried on. Even when nobody gets hurt, it's still a reportable issue.
It's known as a 'near miss'.

Near misses can be easy to brush aside, but they’re really useful early warnings.

A trailing cable that someone has to step over, something falling but narrowly missing a person, or a spill being spotted just before somebody slips can all highlight where changes may be needed.

We should be able to identify where things can go badly wrong way before they actually do and a near miss report can help us to risk assess and re-organise to make a safer environment.

Reporting a near miss isn’t about blame or creating paperwork for the sake of it. It’s about noticing patterns, having open conversations & dealing with smaller risks before they have bigger consequences.

At any place of work, you should understand why safe working practices matter and feel confident enough to speak up when something doesn’t seem right.

How are near misses treated in your workplace?
Are they talked about & learned from?
