This amazing person is Angela!
Angela is our Play Leader and her role is to lead our morning and afternoon/evening wrap around care for our school aged children. We love having Angela with us at BEST Nursery & Extended Services - Langford because she is fantastic at building the self-esteem of young children. She is very talented at forming strong relationships with the children and planning activities which meet their needs and allow them to flourish.

Today we are celebrating Kirsty!
Kirsty has just completed her Level 3 SENDCO qualification with Central Bedfordshire. We are so grateful for all the hard work Kirsty has put into completing her qualification. We are so proud to have Kirsty on the team at BEST Nursery & Extended Services - Langford because she is determined to ensure all the children in our setting reach their full potential and get the support and help they need.
Kirsty is our setting SENDco and works closely with all the staff and external agencies to ensure SEND is a priority.

Our learning this week...
This week we are planning to explore science through potion making and mixing different liquids such as vinegar, lemon juice and bicarbonate of soda.
We will also be developing our fine motor skills with a range of activities such as cutting, mark-making and using tweezers to explore materials.
The children will continue to learn about different emotions and will be recognising these on each other's faces and by creating their own pictures.

You can support your child's learning at home by talking about their feelings and pulling different faces in the mirror with them.

This lovely young man is Ben!
Ben is brilliant at supporting the children with their emotional wellbeing at nursery. He is always calm and attentive and we love that about him 🤩
Ben enjoys being creative with the children at nursery and helps them to make collages, paint pictures and explore new textures!
Ben works 07:30-18:00 Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays and 15:00-18:00 on Wednesdays. If you would like to speak with Ben about your child's learning and development, just call the nursery office on 01462 410420.

This lovely lady is Emma!
We love Emma because she is a calm and loving person who gives great hugs! Emma is great at developing small world stories and reading with the children at our nursery. She is one of our Level 3 nursery practitioners and is interested in learning more about supporting young children with their behaviour. Emma works 08:30-15:30 on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and alternating Thursdays and Fridays.

There is a lot of information about dummy usage for young children and sometimes it can be a little overwhelming! We want to support our children to feel safe and secure at nursery so we have summarised some of the information from health and early years professionals below. This is our lovely Early Years Co-ordinator, Jo!
Jo loves reading 'We're Going on a Bear Hunt' with the children and playing in the role-play area.
We are very proud to be supporting Jo through her Early Years Initial Teacher Training qualification this year...we know she will make an amazing teacher 🤩
Jo works Mondays and Fridays 08:30-18:00 and Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays 08:30-15:30.

This lovely lady is Tara 😍
Some of you may not recognise Tara, she works with us 9:15-2:45 Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays and 9:15-11:45 on Thursdays.
We are so pleased to have Tara with us at Langford because she always has the biggest smile and makes us all laugh. We are VERY proud of Tara because she is working really hard towards her Level 3 Early Years Educator qualification. Tara enjoys bike rides, walks and exploring nature with the children at our nursery.
