I never thought of the final outcome but for the first time I created a vision. I saw where I wanted to go, what I wanted to achieve. Then I looked at life with two views only. There is that which will allow me to achieve and everything else is the enemy. The method is obsession of an idea so powerful that it permeates the essence of your personal culture. It becomes your reality, your identity. The very language you use expresses the singularity of purpose and thought.It no longer is a sacrifice as there are no other desires to give up. It is the absolute and ultimate desire.

June 2021 I fractured for the second time my femur. Hospitalized I received a plate and cables to hold it together. I was fortunate that the second hip replacement 5 months earlier was not damaged.
I promised myself that by June of the next year I would be able to jog on a beach. Then one month before that anticipated attempt I had my right shoulder replaced. Would I be able to keep my promise to myself?!
Using daily I healed my hip, my femur and my shoulder.
Mobility and specificity brings results.

7 years ago today, 21 years training BJJ, 30 years training jiujitsu.
Taking a break to heal my body and pursue my career in medicine.
Yet as I have done in the past I will return.

Complete shoulder replacement.Day one out of the sling after just under 3 weeks immobilized. Looking forward to sharing my personal journey of rehabbing and then going beyond rehab to make a better shoulder then I had before surgery.
