Stoney Creek Toastmasters

Tonight we had our first-ever 𝗙𝗶𝘀𝗵 𝗕𝗼𝘄𝗹 𝗠𝗲𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 of the year at Stoney Creek Toastmasters.

Nobody knew their meeting roles until they stepped into the room, which made the evening fun, challenging, and completely impromptu. Since many of our members were newer members, everyone stepped up to the challenge and did a fantastic job adapting on the spot.

We had a total of 21 members in attendance, including our guests 𝗝𝘂𝗹𝗶𝗮𝗻, 𝗔𝘃𝗮 (𝗔𝘄𝘄-𝘃𝗮), 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗲𝘁, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗟𝗲𝗿𝗼𝘆.

A special highlight of the evening was recognizing our Division L winners. 𝗗𝗶𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗟 𝗗𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿 𝗥𝘆𝗮𝗻 𝗞𝗮𝘂𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘁 facilitated the recognition of 𝗔𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗹 𝗕𝘂𝗿𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵𝘀 and 𝗖𝗼𝗿𝗻𝗲𝗹𝗶𝘂𝘀 𝗢𝗸𝗮𝗳𝗼𝗿 for their achievements in the contest. April won the International Speech Contest at the Division Level, and Cornelius won the Table Topics Speech Contest before going on to become the District 86 Table Topics Champion. Our club president, 𝗝𝗲𝗳𝗳 𝗕𝘂𝗿𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵𝘀, proudly presented the award to Cornelius.

We had our newest member, 𝗟𝗲𝗯𝘆 𝗚𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗯𝗼, inducted into our club.

We also heard three amazing speeches from 𝗥𝘆𝗮𝗻 𝗞𝗮𝘂𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘁, 𝗦𝗵𝗮𝗷𝗲𝗲 𝗔𝗶𝗷𝗮𝘇𝗶, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗕𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗖𝗼𝗱𝗱.

The evening included thoughtful evaluations from 𝗗𝗮𝗺𝗶 𝗢𝘀𝗮𝘆𝗼𝗺𝗶, 𝗝𝗼𝘀𝗵𝘂𝗮 𝗔𝗻𝗱𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗲, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗖𝗼𝗿𝗻𝗲𝗹𝗶𝘂𝘀 𝗢𝗸𝗮𝗳𝗼𝗿.

At Stoney Creek Toastmasters, we had another inspiring meeting with the theme “Turning Over a Leaf.”

We had 𝟮𝟮 𝗺𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿𝘀 in attendance, including our guest 𝗞𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗻 𝗕𝗵𝗮𝘀𝗶𝗻, and the evening was filled with learning, encouragement, and excellent speeches.

Our prepared speakers delivered incredible presentations:

• 𝗟𝗶𝘀𝗮 𝗡𝗲𝘂𝗳𝗲𝗹𝗱 presented her fourth speech from the 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗠𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗟𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹 𝟭 path titled “An Unsung Hero.”
• 𝗠𝗶𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗲𝗹 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝘀𝗶𝗰 presented from his 𝗘𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗟𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹 𝟮 path with a speech titled “Learning by Mistakes.”
• 𝗩𝗶𝗸𝗶 𝗙𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗼 delivered an informative speech titled “Celiac: The Facts.”

Tonight, we had a fantastic meeting at Stoney Creek Toastmasters with the theme “𝗠𝗮𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗻 𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗰𝘁.”

We were excited to welcome five guests to the club: 𝗞𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗻, 𝗠𝗲𝗴h𝗮, 𝗛𝗶𝗿𝗮, 𝗟𝗲𝗯𝘆, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗝𝗼𝗵𝗻. With 23 members in attendance, the room was full of energy, encouragement, and great conversations.

Our newest member, 𝗗𝗲𝗮𝗻 𝗩𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗻𝗯𝗲𝗿𝗴, was inducted today.
