At St. Joseph Academy, we believe a curriculum should do far more than meet provincial expectations. Our academic program goes well beyond the standard Ontario curriculum by combining the enduring strengths of classical education with leading research-informed practices and exemplary curricula from Canada and around the world. The result is a rich and coherent course of study that builds knowledge systematically, develops mastery, and gives students the strong intellectual foundation needed for long-term academic success.

This comprehensive curriculum spans every subject and is carefully structured to fit SJA’s grade-cohort model and two-year cycle. Each year connects deliberately to the next, reducing gaps and unnecessary repetition while allowing students to encounter an ambitious, well-sequenced body of knowledge. For families seeking an education that is thoughtful, rigorous, and complete, St. Joseph Academy offers something truly different.

For the 2026–2027 school year, St. Joseph Academy is offering exceptional instruction in Mathematics, Science and Engineering, Language, History, Geography, Economics, Civics, French, Latin, Physical Education, Health, Religion and Family Life, and the Visual and Performing Arts.

In our inaugural year, St. Joseph Academy faced an $80,000 deficit. Through the generosity of our community, including one extraordinary $40,000 donation, we made it through.

This year, with enrolment almost doubling and more staff members hired to serve our students, our projected deficit has been reduced to approximately $50,000.

That is real progress, but it is still a serious need.

Our staff and volunteer board members work tirelessly to build SJA, and our donors are an essential part of that mission.

Your generosity helps us keep tuition affordable, compensate our teachers fairly, strengthen our programming, and continue offering joyful, faith-filled, academically rich education.

Monthly gifts help us plan responsibly. One-time donations are deeply appreciated too. Whether it is $25, $50, $500, or another amount placed upon your heart, every gift matters.

🎭 The Missing Music of the Enchanted Forest 🎶

What a beautiful week of creativity, movement, music, and laughter at the SJA Guardians Performing Arts Camp!

Our campers explored drama, dance, rhythm, improvisation, imaginative play, and musical performance. They created character masks, designed their own maracas, helped build an enchanted forest setting, and worked together to present a wonderful final showcase for their families.

At the heart of this week was instructor Amanda Lenjosek! She was experienced, creative, organized, and deeply attentive to each child. She developed the entire camp program and generously offered her time and talents pro bono for the benefit of St. Joseph Academy.

Amanda, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts. You gave our campers far more than a week of activities. You gave them an opportunity to grow in confidence, cooperation, creativity, and friendship.

The children discovered that the missing music of the Enchanted Forest could only be restored when everyone worked together. What a beautiful lesson for our campers and for our entire community.

Thank you, Amanda, for sharing your gifts with SJA!

✨ Sacred Art Camp Review: Beauty, Truth and, Creation

A beautiful and grace-filled week at St. Joseph Academy!

Inspired by the Book of Genesis, students explored God as the ultimate Creator and source of all truth, goodness and beauty. Through vibrant mixed-media projects, they studied colour, line, shape, pattern, texture, movement, balance and unity while creating artwork inspired by light, sky, sea, land, plants, the sun, moon and stars.

Artificial intelligence can be a valuable tool, and our children should learn to use it thoughtfully and wisely. At the same time, there is something irreplaceable about developing natural skills, creating with our own hands, and passing artistic knowledge from one generation to the next. These gifts require patience, imagination and discipline, and can be offered back to God through works of beauty that glorify Him.

The week concluded with a Sacred Art Show, where parents, grandparents, friends and community members gathered to celebrate the remarkable work of our young artists.

A heartfelt thank you to the exceptionally talented Beata O’Connell, Julia Taras, all of our dedicated volunteers, and everyone who joined us for the art show. This week was truly a blessing from God.

Please keep our upcoming Performing Arts Camp, our students, instructors, volunteers and the entire St. Joseph Academy community in your prayers.
